Best restaurant in the area! Lots of great dishes and really good cocktails. Staff is always friendly. Also it is very affordable compared to other similar restaurants in the area.

This place was SO good. I would return and it was a decently good amount of food. It was enough to finish it but not enough to take home so it was perfect.

Spectacular! A jewel! The food was delicious from start to finish. Wonderful atmosphere and service. Amy was our server and could teach a masterclass! The flourless chocolate cake was served with caramel and whipped cream, to die for! *Ordered the Rueben… best reuben of my life!

Literally perfect. The head chef (I call him pork daddy, you’ll see why) has a magical touch on the double bone duroc pork chop with legit chimichurri. I was here for 4 days and had to visit twice. I tried the lamb, the pork belly, Bolognese, tiramisu, and passion fruit cake. His name is pork daddy because no one comes close. His name rings out in these streets. Ask anyone about the tavern and they’ll tell you to dab up the pork daddy when you see him. I’m leaving tomorrow and I will miss the Tavern food and staff more than the pow. Amazing experience start to finish … great atmosphere … amazing service ( Steph was amazing ) delicious food…and all at an extremely reasonable price … this was our best dining experiences while here for a couple of days of skiing. We also got to meet the owner who was absolutely adorable … what an amazing experience … thank you!

Really great food and terrific service on a Friday night. Portions are more European sized. Looked like a decent wine list but I just glanced at it.

Great food and service. Good atmosphere. A few of us had tri-tip steak was cooked perfectly and was amazing. The lamb kofta starter was particularly good.

A spot that is authentic, great drinks, and has the real Colorado energy. This is where to locals go. We are so grateful for Tavern West, its owner and its staff. I shouldn’t be telling others, but it’s about lifting the best up.

Loved the cozy atmosphere, quick and friendly service, and the great value for money. Everything is Summit County has gotten out of control over the past few years, and prices are still very reasonable here for quality food and decent portions. The hand cut fries were great, and the truffle tots were also tasty. The Jamaican Jerk sauce on the chicken sandwich is one of the best sauces I’ve ever tasted. Wish I could buy a bottle to take home with me – you can tell everything is made fresh in-house. In addition, the chicken was tender, juicy, and deliciously breaded. We will definitely be back to hit up some Happy Hours and bring family when they’re in town!

Absolutely delicious meal New Year’s Day. The bison tenderloin, prime rib, and shrimp jambalaya were great.

1. Smoked salmon plate appetizer. 5/5. Absolutely exceeded expectations (coming from a Fin). 2. Lamb chop. 4.5/5. Really delicious. Would happily order again with excitement. The potato puree was a flavorful pairing. Loses 1/2 a point as medium-rare was recommended by the chef, but came out medium. 3. Tri-tip steak. 4.5/5. The steak was also excellent, particularly as complemented with the horseradish bearnaise. Loses 1/2 a point for the same reason as the lamb chop. 4. Flourless chocolate cake. 4/5. Decadent when served with vanilla ice cream (our choice, though coffee flavor was recommended). A bit rich, which may have been an underestimation on our part. 5. Service was stellar. Warm. Hospitable. Had a friendly “everyone knows your name” sort of feel. 6. Atmosphere was something out of a Terry Redlin painting. The snow dumping down outside our table side window anf the fireplace just adjacent certainly aided in this effect. Had the dressings of a “sports bar” (with sports playing on TVs above the bar), but felt more like rustic tavern with upscale charm, amplified by darkly painted walls, lit by soft, warm light, and auburn wood accents.

My partner and I were served by Katie. She did an amazing job from drink to dessert suggestions. The atmosphere was perfect and food was outstanding. We highly recommend!

Happy hour is solid, must sit at bar though. The reuben is one of the best in the world!! Kobe burger is incredible. Do NOT get the tater tots. Its overfried, felt more like a chip than anything. Maybe also just bad luck. Elote corn is super good. Skip the smoked salmon. Pork belly is also great.

We had an early reservation (you definitely need one to get in) and the host seated us right away. Delicious cocktails, appetizers, basically everything, but I want to rave about one thing: ask to substitute the smoked mashed potatoes for any other potato dish. I’ve tried about every way to cook and eat potatoes, but this was new and wonderful. Just trust me on this.

Wow what a surprise! Food and drinks as good as anything in Breck with a better wine by the glass menu, homemade pasta, perfectly cooked Kobe burger, and all with super friendly staff (especially Steph at the bar) and great beer list!! This one is a hidden gem and highly recommended.

Amazing cocktails and happy hour specials. Bar is a nice mix of locals and tourists. In the summer, the patio is one of the best views in town, you sit right under Mt Royal
